SENIOR VICE CHAIR
📢 Senior Vice Chairman – Proposed / Transitioning to Executive Secretary
🔹 Important Notice: This role is planned to transition into a more administrative position under the title Executive Secretary at the end-of-season AGM (September 2025). This change aligns with our updated volunteer structure to strengthen administration and governance.
If you're interested in playing a key role in supporting the President and Executive Committee, ensuring smooth operations across the association, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing administrative support to the President, Executive Committee, and subcommittees.
- Strengthening the board with a whole-of-association approach to planning and management.
- Ensuring efficient operations across the association.
- Assisting in managing association business and correspondence.
📌 Responsibilities
The Secretary plays a key coordinating role, ensuring smooth communication and planning. This includes maintaining records of rules, policies, and activities, handling executive committee correspondence, preparing meeting minutes, and attending league and council workshops where required. The role also involves supporting key administration volunteers and assisting in preparing the AGM report alongside the Executive Committee.

This volunteer position is a two-year term and an essential part of shaping the association's future.

GENERAL SERVICES DIRECTOR
📢 Senior Vice Chairman – Proposed role transitioning to a Non Executive role (on the House Committee) as part of the volunteer re-structuring.
A vital position overseeing facilities, infrastructure planning, and major projects for the Busselton Hockey Association.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Developing and maintaining a 3, 5, and 10-year facilities master plan.
- Conducting a full audit of all facilities, including sheds and storage areas.
- Establishing and overseeing a funding plan for major projects.
- Supporting the Executive Board to prioritise and cost-out projects to ensure strategic development.
- Working closely with project managers on facility-related upgrades and improvements.
📌 Responsibilities
The facilities coordinator will ensure facility projects are planned, budgeted, and executed efficiently. Responsibilities include liaising with local council, overseeing audits and surveys of current infrastructure, and securing funding for major projects. The role requires collaboration with appointed project managers for initiatives such as ground drainage, grandstand upgrades, resurfacing projects, and general facility improvements.
